YIKES!  Labor Day, the unofficial start of Fall is a week away and I need coats for my team.  And, not just any coat, I want COOL coats. 

Fall and winter weather demands jackets made with heavier-weight and thicker materials offered by puffers, soft-shells and 3-season jackets.  Labor Day lets us know we have 6 months of cool weather ahead and most likely need seasonably suitable, high-quality outerwear as the smart choice solution.

In order to brave the cold, get the jump on the season by seeking out cool jackets that will complement your uniform program.  Here are some of my favorites.

Soft Shell Jackets – I love the versatility of these jackets as the three-layer bonded fabric provides warmth for the wearer and let’s face it, winter snow can be wet as rain at times.  The DWR finish allows water to bead up and roll off.  The jacket offers full-length wind guard, stand-up collar and lots of zip pockets to stow your stuff. 

3-Season Jacket – This jacket definitely lives up to its name and the traditional style with rib-knit cuffs and waist keep the cold out and your core warm.  The premium anti-pilling fleece lining guarantees all day comfort.  And, the DWR finish let’s all those wet elements that you endure daily just bead up and roll off.  A must have if your team works outside. 

Packable Puffer Jacket – This jacket is stylish and good for the planet.  Made with 100-percent nylon shell with 60-gram Polyloft®, recycled polyester insulation, this style features open single-welt pockets, a full-zip front with a neck guard, and bound sleeve and bottom openings.  Best of all, it comes with a bag for packing and can be easily folded into a small pouch.
